Event Description:
Sherwood Advocating for Older Adults March 29th, 3:30pm - 5:00 pm Held in the Sherwood City/Library Community Room You are invited to attend our ongoing Sherwood discussion group – Sherwood Advocating for Older Adults. This group was created to begin discussions between faith communities and organizations that want to serve older adults in our community. Our goal is to build community awareness, striving to create a better and more age friendly city for our older adults living in Sherwood. We need you to do this! All voices and ideas add to the synergy of what we can complete together as a group. Please plan on attending our next discussion and invite others in your community/organization to join you. Presentation by Adrienne Doman Calkins, Sherwood Library Manager Adrienne will share how the library strives to provide current resources in response to needs of older adults, the many resources (besides books) available for older adults to use and the accessibility of the library from your home. Adrienne has been a supporter of Sherwood Advocating for Older Adults, attending discussion groups and including needs into the library’s three-year comprehensive plan.
